The ingredient of Spiced Beef Skewers
- 200g 1 cup basmati rice
- 125g 1 2 cup natural yoghurt
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 small red onion finely diced
- 600g beef rump steak trimmed cut into 2cm pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 telegraph cucumber cut into chunks
- 4 large egg tomatoes cut into thin wedges
- 1 4 cup shredded fresh mint leaves
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- salt ground black pepper to taste
The Instruction of spiced beef skewers
- cook the rice according to packet directions soak 12 bamboo skewers in cold water for 10 minutes drain
- combine yoghurt garam masala and 1 2 the onion in a non aluminium dish add beef and toss thread beef onto skewers
- heat 1 2 the oil in a large heavy based frying pan over medium heat add 1 2 the beef skewers and cook for 3 4 minutes each side or until just cooked transfer to a plate and cover loosely with foil repeat with remaining oil and beef skewers
- place the cucumber tomatoes mint lemon juice remaining onion salt and pepper in a medium bowl toss well to combine serve beef skewers with the rice and salad
